There are a wide range of treatment choices, ranging from counseling to medications. Typical treatments include:

* Psychotherapy: does not address the symptoms or causes, but helps children with ADHD to like and accept themselves despite their disorder.
* Behavioral therapy: helps the child develop more effective ways to work on immediate issues by giving practical assistance, like help with organization of tasks or schoolwork.
* Social skills training: can also help children learn new behaviors such as waiting for a turn, sharing toys, or asking for help; giving the child better ways to play and work with other children.
* Drug Therapy: used to treat the symptoms of ADHD. The medications that seem to be the most effective are a class of drugs known as stimulants.

Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) not only benefit in the short term from medications taken to treat their condition, but may also benefit in the long term. Evidence shows children who take prescribed medications to treat ADHD, such as Ritalin, Concerta and Adderall, are benefiting from higher test scores during grade school than those children with ADHD who are not taking medication for their disorder. A new Consumer Reports survey supports this theory.

Consumer Reports conducted a health survey, interviewing 934 parents of children with ADHD. The survey asked about medications, non-medical therapies, strategies and physicians. Eighty-four percent of the families had tried medication since the ADHD diagnosis, with 67 percent believing that the drugs had helped. More than 50 percent of the families surveyed had tried two or more drugs in past three years.

Emerging Trends in the Microfinance Industry

Professor C.K. Prahalad said, 'the poor deserve world-class products and services". Speaking in favour of microfinance and microloans aimed at low income customers; he said it would alleviate some of the problems faced by the poorer sections of society, majority of who survive on less than 2 dollars a day. Microfinance is the provision of financial services to low-income clients, including consumers and the self-employed, who traditionally lack access to banking and related services.

Mohammad Yunus, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for creating the Grameen Microcredit Bank in Bangladesh, first started the US $27 loan in a village of Bangladesh, the loan that launched the microfinance movement. As Dr. Yunus has observed, Grameen Bank is transmitting an entrepreneurial culture to millions of Bangladeshi women.

At the beginning microfinance happened through donor and philanthropic funding. However as the activities scaled up, it was imperative to move to a commercial format. Bankers, Venture capitalists, technology solution providers, governments and public at large have realized the increased potential of microfinance.

A wide range of technologies are available to help microfinance providers improve efficiency, track operations more accurately, increase transparency, and reach new customers, thus facilitating financial inclusion. Technology has led to increased deposits, by placing easy-to-use ATMs in well-trafficked areas. Technology has led to more rural customers. Standard Bank's (South Africa) low minimum-balance, easy-to-use "ePlan" account can be opened at manned ATMs in rural areas where it would be too expensive to open branches.

Latest Mobile Phone Deals - Wonderful Concept
The latest Mobile Phones are a craze today with all young and old, everybody wants to get the best mobile phones at the best possible prices and also with the latest advanced features available in them. Earlier it was not possible to get this, either the phones were very few or the associated prices were very high. But considering the influx in demands the mobile phone manufacturing companies keep coming with new phones every now and then, and considering that there are so many mobile manufacturers, the competition is so strong that there is serious price cutting to keep abreast with the market trends.

One constantly hears about the deals that get associated with the cell phones. These are done in order to promote the sale of a particular product and also to get a competitive edge over others. These deals come in the form of cash backs, reduced prices or any free gifts that can be offered with the handsets of your choice. Besides this there can also be free line rentals and free talk time and SMS facilities for a limited period. All these are done in order to get the customers to get the best possible pricing of their products and also so that their product gets a push against the competitor's phone.

The consumer stands to gain in that, as they are able to get the latest mobile phones with great deals at very affordable prices. Depending on users' utility and preferences they can either get contract mobile phone deals or pay as you go deals. There is availability of low rental line phones or also one year free rental lines that can be associated with your purchase. In terms of free gifts the users can get iPods, Free LCD TVs, iPhones and many more electronic gifts that can simply amaze the users.

The latest mobile phones are such power pack of features that you just have to think of a utility and it would be available in them. Phone giants like Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, LG and Sony Ericson are constantly on a look out to produce more and more handsets that are consumer utility driven so that the users can draw best from these. However; not everybody wants to invest a fortune in these high end phones and that does not mean that the regular phones are devoid of utilities.

For example Nokia has a range that is meant for such people. These are equipped with cameras, media player, entertainment slot in terms of games and internet availability. Though the extent and the efficiency of these would not be as good as compared to the expensive high end brand, but coming from renowned phone companies they are certainly more than bankable; and that is what impresses everybody!

Intraday Market Outlook for Day Traders
EUR/USD
Regaining some of its lost territory, the pair in the European morning hours is currently trading at 1.3199. We see the upside limited today at 1.3220, from where another weak move could set in, to levels around 1.3150.

GBP/USD
Cable is conolidating its lower levels in a quiet European morning market, standing presently at 1.5885. This recovery will not lead above 1.5900, where we expect selling to come into the market, testing the 1.5790 mark.

USD/CHF
The dollar is starting to act more weakly against the Swiss franc in early European trading and is priced right now at 1.0457. We see this as a down correction of the previous upmove and do not expect much further downside risk today, rather reckoning with an upmove to 1.0525.

USD/JPY
Against the yen, the dollar continues to consolidate its higher levels, presently at 86.20, a move we think will end in a upward breakout towards the 86.80 level today.

Weekly Commodity Update
Market activity this past week has primarily been driven by the U.S. earnings season and the wait for the outcome of the European bank stress test.

Corporate USA generally delivered Q2 results at or above market expectations which in turn kept stock markets supported. On the flip side FED Chairman Bernanke said that the economic outlook remains unusually uncertain, but was ready to act. With midterm election coming up continued soft US numbers could trigger some additional policy action.

Meanwhile in Europe the long awaited release of the European bank stress test kept the market guessing about the outcome. Skepticism about the usefulness of the report emerged as the important questions might not be asked: how banks will perform should a weak nation be forced to realign its debt and what would happen if the recession deepens. A credible number of failures among the 91 banks being tested needed to be the result, otherwise the whole exercise would suffer the risk of backfiring leading to renewed risk aversion.

Commodities had a generally quiet week with the Reuters Jefferies CRB gaining one percent primarily on the back of a strong rally in copper, crude and sugar. Sell offs in Cocoa, coffee and corn limited the upside gains. The index has now rallied eight percent to 267 from the May low but will be finding resistance towards 270.

The International Energy Agency, who is an energy adviser to most of the world’s biggest economies, said that China had overtaken the US as the world’s largest consumer of energy. In their calculation all forms of energy such as crude oil, nuclear, coal, natural gas and renewable sources were used. Just ten years ago Chinas total consumption was just half the size of the US and it highlights the phenomenal speed of the economic progress of that nation but also how important a factor they are in determine the cost of various energy sources

When it comes to crude oil demand the U.S. is still well ahead as they consume an average of 19 million barrels a day compared to Chinas 9.2 million barrels a day. Chinas power production relies heavily on coal which accounts for 80 percent of its production. Still Chinas oil demand rose to a fresh record high in June and is ten percent above the same period last year.

Crude Oil has gone into a summer lull trading inside a relative tight range and primarily taking direction from outside markets such as the dollar and stock markets with the above China story also having a bit of positive impact.

Meanwhile in the US crude oil inventories unexpectedly rose last week increasing the doubt about a recovery in consumption. Inventories at Cushing, the delivery hub into NYMEX rose to 37.1 million barrels, less than 1 million barrels short of the previous record at 37.9 back in May. Demand for VLCCs (Very Large Crude carriers) has picked up again after recent surplus of tonnage has been putting charter prices under pressure. Operators of super tankers are still complaining about little or no profit being made at current subdued prices.

Crude oil have now spent the past couple of weeks trading sideways as the speculative long position remains pretty small at 35,000 which is s

How to Approach Women - Don't Be Shy, Be the Dreamy Kind of Guy
When you approach a woman, she will usually know almost instantly whether or not she sees you as the kind of man that she would like to date, or if you seem to be more of the friend type. Most guys have a difficult time when they make their approach on a woman, but you cannot let that hold you back. Otherwise, you really have no one to blame but yourself when you have yet another dateless weekend.

Here are 3 tips to approach women that will make things a lot EASIER on you:

1. You have to get yourself ready. Some guys can just take one deep breath and they are ready to go. Some guys need a little more than that. The thing of approaching a woman is, it gets better with time. So, the first few times you get yourself moving and actually approach her, you might not get the reaction that you want. Stay ready and be able to adapt for the next one.

2. Appearances does mean something. While it is not necessarily a make or break kind of thing, you don't want to walk up to her with spaghetti stains on your shirt. Seriously though, get your appearance to reflect your personality and your style so that she kind of gets an impression of who you are. Don't over do the whole appearance, but don't under do it either.

3. Talking to her, you need to make her laugh. If she does not let loose any laughter, then chances are, you are not making the kind of impression that is going to make her want you. Of course, you don't want her to laugh because you dropped a corny line on her, but you want to make her laugh so that she knows that you are a carefree kind of guy.

Widescreen Computer Monitor

Frankly, there's no better way to increase productivity on your computer than by getting a widescreen computer monitor. While a mini LCD monitor could serve the same purpose to increase your work screen it's just not as practical and convenient. Attaching a dual display to your existing monitor requires software to install and just doesn't look as impressive.

With a widescreen computer monitor, you don't have to worry about focusing on two different screens which can give you a bit of a headache. Instead, you can do everything on one screen. With more room on your screen, you can open more windows and work on several applications simultaneously. You can either divide the screen into two with two windows open side by side or even four, with one in each corner.

When you are busy working on several things at once, it can be incredibly annoying to have to close windows to view another. Sometimes you find that you have lots of applications open and it feels like a bit of a juggling act. This can seriously reduce your efficiency to work effectively and can waste considerable amount of time.

Widescreen computer screens are huge, with the standard size being around 21 inches. This gives you more space to get organized and do more. Not only do you have more space to work, but you can enjoy better clarity. Lots of widescreen monitors are HD and provide brilliant detail as well as color. For graphics designers this is very helpful since it helps provide a better idea of the finished product.

Commonly the widescreen computer monitor has a 16:9 display, which is the current standard for most digital TV programs. You'll find that most video sites online also offer the ability to view videos in widescreen. This means you get to enjoy movies and television as it's meant to be, without seeing the black bars.

You can easily turn your computer into a digital TV set by investing in a digital TV card. By doing this you can benefit from a dual purpose monitor and even save yourself from buying a new TV. Unlike analog, you can enjoy crystal clear digital broadcasts straight on your computer.

Since most computers have DVD drives you can also enjoy your movies in HD and widescreen format giving you an enhanced viewing experience.

That's not all, widescreen computer monitors are much more energy efficient compared to standard monitors as well as space saving. You will find new widescreen LCDs super compact as well as lightweight.
